Buffalo City Mission Launches Drive for Three Thousand Turkeys in Three Weeks

Buffalo City Mission issues a plea to all Western New Yorkers to help donate 3,000 turkeys for this year’s Thanksgiving meal. You can drop off your turkey donations between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily at the Mission’s Men’s Community Center located at 100 East Tupper Street. In addition to the 3,000 turkeys we are in the need of 350 pre-baked pies of apple, cherry, pumpkin and sweet potato for this holiday season.

Did you know that donating food is one way to "give thanks" this holiday season? This year, we are running very low on turkeys and pre-baked pies, we are asking Western New Yorkers to help us provide a great thanksgiving for those in need by participating in our “Three Thousand Turkeys Drive for the Mission.”  

Together, we can make sure that all God’s children can celebrate Thanksgiving with a warm meal.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday we will:

• Serve hundreds of meals at our shelters, including more than 300 during our Thanksgiving Community Meal at our Men’s Community Center on Tuesday, November 18.
• Prepare, package and deliver more than 3,000 meals to the elderly and other homebound families on Thanksgiving Day.
