2008 Summer/Fall Clothing Drive

Buffalo City Mission is happy to announce its 2008 Summer/Fall Clothing Drive. This is an opportunity for our community to be able to drop off and donate their gently used summer and fall clothing for the poor and homeless men, women and children of WNY. Location: Eastern Hills Mall

Where: Look for the Buffalo City Mission truck & signage located at the main entrance parking lot facing Transit Road near the big Jumbo-Tron sign.

From: 10-4PM (Each Saturday)

Registration: 11:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast.

Start time:  12:15 p.m. with a 50 mile run throughout Niagara County.  To see check points and route map, click on the 2008 Motorcycle Run Brochure.

Cost: $20.00 for rider/biker, $10.00 for passenger.

This cost includes free dinner, live music & testimonials from individuals whose lives have been changed, free entertainment, raffle giveaways, awards ceremony and so much more!

Non-bikers! Come at 3:30 p.m. and pay just $10 to enjoy great food and music, and hear testimonials of lives changed.  Non-bikers can also download pledge forms and compete for prizes.  (All participants must raise a minimum of $250 in cash to be eligible for the top three prizes.)  All pledged dollars must be collected and turned in on the day of registration to quality.

2008 Premium Prizes:

First Place - Two beautiful handmade collectible knives by Bill Miller.

Second Place - Two custom painted helmets donated by The Hog Farm.

Third Place – will be announced soon!

Buffalo City Mission’s Annual Golf Tournament, “Tee Off Fore Hope”.

AUGUST 18, 2008

We are pleased to invite you to the Buffalo City Mission’s Annual “Tee Off Fore Hope” fundraising golf tournament. Last year over 90 golfers participated, raising over $50,000 to support programs and services for our Women and Children’s Shelter, Cornerstone Manor.
 
This year our tournament will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 at Glen Oak located in East Amherst, NY. Registration begins at 11am, shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. The cost per foursome is $700 or $175 for each individual golfer. This cost includes green fees, GPS equipped golf cart, a lunch at the turn, contest and prizes for the winners, an auction and dinner. Please consider sponsoring an event or purchasing a green/tee sign.

If you are unable to golf this year, perhaps you could help us with a monetary donation, merchandise or gift certificate for our auction at the tournament. This would be a great benefit to our ministry of helping the less fortunate of Western NY.
