Buffalo City Mission Volunteer Program
Volunteers are a vital part of Buffalo City Mission. Hundreds of individuals, businesses and churches share their time and talents each year, providing valuable services to our programs and facilities.
Working hand-in-hand with Mission staff and seeing firsthand the men, women and children we serve is a life-changing experience for many volunteers. Often our volunteers tell us: We came to give to others but ended up receiving much more in return.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop and maintain a volunteer program that serves as an extension to Buffalo City Mission staff and enhances the services provided to homeless and low-income men, women and children; and to educate the community about Buffalo City Mission, its residents’/clients’ needs, and how to partner in ministry.

Volunteer Spotlight!
Mary Ann Egloff has been a faithful volunteer coming in weekly at the Buffalo City Mission for over seven years. She was led to us by her passion for helping physically and mentally abused women and children. Through the years she has served in many capacities from making gift baskets for the children to hanging curtains in the men's dining room and everything in between. She enjoys spending her time in the Volunteer department using her gift of writing to thank the multitude of people who partner with us to serve the less fortunate.
She attends the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg and her favorite Bible verse is: Lamentations 3: 21-24 'Yet hope returns when I remember this one thing: The LORDS unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sun rise. The LORD is all I have and so in Him I put my hope.'
