What started as an extension of Buffalo City Mission’s outreach into the low-income community has become a win-win-win situation for working-poor families, the Mission and people like you!
When you donate your car, truck, boat, motorcycle—even airplane—to Buffalo City Mission’s Mission Motors your gift is tax-deductible, saving you money April 15! At the same time, you provide much-needed income for the Mission, helping fund our emergency relief services, recovery programs and community outreaches. You may also be furthering self-sufficiency for a low-income family or individual by supplying them with a reasonably priced vehicle for work or school.
Mission Motors also offers a venue for our long-term recovery program residents to learn auto mechanics, sales and other job skills that can empower them to live independently.
Here’s how it works most often:
- Donate a car and receive a tax receipt for the revenue we receive from its sale.
- We’ll repair and sell the vehicle for a cost-effective price.
- The buyer gets inexpensive and reliable transportation.
- The Mission uses the money to fund our services for the homeless and poor.
