Volunteer

Volunteers are a vital part of Buffalo City Mission.  Hundreds of individuals, businesses and churches share their time and talents each year, providing valuable services to our programs and facilities.

Working hand-in-hand with Mission staff and seeing firsthand the men, women and children we serve is a life-changing experience for many volunteers.  Often our volunteers tell us:  We came to give to others but ended up receiving much more in return.

We invite you to consider joining our team as a volunteer.  Buffalo City Mission’s Volunteer Program consists of two components:

• High Impact Volunteers
• Informal Volunteers

High Impact Volunteers

High Impact Volunteers choose to partner with the Mission’s paid staff by working in a position on a weekly, monthly or bimonthly basis.  High Impact Volunteers often have close contact with clients and can participate in staff prayer times, volunteer focus group discussions and training sessions.

Informal Volunteer Program

The Informal Volunteer Program is designed for groups or individuals who are interested in learning more about homelessness and desire to volunteer one-time or occasionally.
