Opportunities for Schools

We invite your students to be Cool Kids who Care!  We believe children who practice compassion for the homeless become more compassionate adults.  We also know many organizations are looking for ways to supply kids with meaningful community service projects or activities that support class curriculum.

We offer simple, fun projects your children or youth can do to provide practical help to the hungry and homeless served here at Buffalo City Mission.  Some of these activities are seasonal, while others can be coordinated any time of year.  Each one costs almost nothing to coordinate, but does so much to bring relief and comfort to those who need our help.

Ideas to Teach Compassion to Students of All Ages:

• Coordinate Trick Or Treat So Others Can Eat in October where kids can trick or treat for nonperishable food items or collect food at school.

• Hold a scavenger hunt for items to fill Welcome Kits.

• Sponsor Undie Monday, a collection of kids underwear and socks.

Schedule a tour of our facilities.

Schedule an assembly speaker from Buffalo City Mission.

• Become a part of BCM City Missionaries and receive our e-mail updates monthly.

If you know Cool Kids who Care, Contact Us for more information on any of the participation options listed above.
