Christmas Gift Drive
November and December
Each Christmas, hundreds of homeless guests receive gift bags containing healthcare needs, warm socks and gloves and more. Men on our resident program open packages of clothing, healthcare items and “just-for-fun” stuff chosen especially for them.
On Christmas Eve, women and children at Cornerstone Manor open gifts of new, warm nightclothes and slippers. Then on Christmas morning, they eat a special celebration breakfast together before opening more gifts from compassionate friends of the Mission.
You can help make our Christmas celebrations possible by collecting items from the lists below.

Make Your Christmas Gift Drive a Success!
At your last team meeting you discussed the upcoming Christmas office party. Everyone groaned when someone suggested a gift exchange. White elephant and gag gifts again?
Tell coworkers about these great ideas that’ll bring meaning to your gathering and joy to a homeless person. Then call (716) 854-8181 to discuss the details.
• Ask everyone to bring a gift card in any amount for Wal-Mart, Target, Sam’s Club or other local stores.
• Schedule a group tour and bring along items from our Christmas wish lists.
• Install an office Christmas tree decorated with paper ornaments that have gift items written on them. Each employee chooses an ornament, purchases and wraps the gift then donates it to Buffalo City Mission.
• Instead of sending gifts to clients, make a cash gift to Buffalo City Mission then send clients Christmas cards letting them know you made a gift in their honor.
