Why We Are Homeless If homeless men and women just got jobs, wouldn’t their problems be solved? Unfortunately homelessness is seldom an issue of economics. More often, its causes are complex. Buffalo City Mission spends time with each homeless guest so we can learn about the needs and the obstacles he or she faces. When we asked our homeless guests and program residents why they were homeless, here’s what they said: • Loss of job Your giving allows Buffalo City Mission to reach out with comprehensive programs that address these and other problems. By teaching adults and children new ways to cope and live, the Mission can help prevent future homelessness. |
